אני מקווה שאתם בטוב. הסמינר מתחיל השבוע ויש הרבה התרגשות, ציפייה ואנרגיה חיובית!!

I hope that you are doing well - the seminar with Harnack Sensei starts this Wednesday in Modi'in and there's a lot of excitement and good Ki and anticipation.

1. השיעור היום יתחיל כשיעור רגיל אך יסתיים עם העברת המזרנים מאולם הסטודיו לאולם הכדורסל הגדול (שם יתקיים הסמינר). באמצע גם נקיים ישיבה - הכנות אחרונות לסמינר וכן נעבור על הנקודות שמופיעות למטה מסנסיי הרנק. 

2. ביום שלישי הקרוב שלא יתקיים שיעור

3. הסמינר יתחיל ביום רביעי הקרוב בערב- בשיעור במודיעין

1. Today's class will begin as usual but then we'll move the mattresses to the main sports hall, where the seminar will take place. We'll also further discuss the seminar - along the questions coming from Sensei Harnack. (see below)

2. This Tuesday we will not have a class.

General Aikido Techniques and Topics I will cover:

Ryotetori Tenchinage – Irimi and Tenkan 

Ryotetori Ni-Nikyo and the follow-up techniques – Kotegaeshi and Sankyo 

Ryotetori Enkei-Nage and others. 

These will not be the only techniques by a long ways.  But I will most likely start with them

Enkei-Undo – I usually spend time on this one since it is Kobayashi Sensei's adaptation.

Bokken & Jo: (בוקן וג'ו)

I will cover basic handling and any of the Ken-Gi or Jo-Gi they would like to practice.  I would also like to make certain that all the advanced ranks are up on all of the Ken and Jo Gi.

Banyu Aigo – Spirit of Loving Compassion for All Living Things.

Takemusa Aiki – Aikido is born of the martial spirit. My words about this may be somewhat different from others.  Think Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr.

1.     What is your favorite technique? (איזו טכניקה היא האהובה עליך?)

2.     What is your least favorite technique? (איזו טכניקה הכי פחת אהובה עליך?)

3.     What technique you are now practicing you would like more practice with? (על איזו טכניקה היית רוצה להתאמן עוד?)

4.     What Aiki Taiso does not make sense to you as to why we do it? (איזה אייקי-טאיסו אינו נראה לך הגיוני?)

5.     What Aiki Taiso do you find most difficult? (איזה אייקי-טאיסו נראה לך הכי קשה?)

6.     What Aiki Taiso is the easiest for you? (איזה אייקי-טאיסו נראה לך הכי קל?)

7.     Is there a Seidokan Principle you would like to hear more about? (האם יש עקרון מעקרונות סיידוקאן אייקידו שהיית רוצה לשמוע עליו יותר?) 

8.     Do you think talking about the Principles of Seidokan Aikido and Mind Body Coordination are a waste of time? (האם נראה לך שדיבור על עקרונות סיידוקאן אייקידו ותיאום של גוף ונפש הוא מיותר?)

9.     Do some of the attacks we practice from seem more difficult than others to defend with Aikido? (האם חלק מההתקפות שאנו מתרגלים נראות קשות יותר להגנה מאחרות?)

Hello everyone,

Thank you for coming yesterday to the evening class and sharing great Ki with Yohana's Gokyu exam.

Hello and shalom everyone,

Two issues on the table: first, please try to register online or indicate that much for the upcoming annual seminar with Richard Harnack Sensei in the online registration forum we have available in this link. Registration from our dojo is still a bit weak and so please extend you KI! Also, please keep in mind that if you are planning to attend even 3-4 classes, then its better to do a full seminar registration. Also makes things easier for us organizers.

Second, tomorrow evening (Tuesday) there will NOT be a class - please accept my apologies (Yakov Sensei and I are out of town).

We will have a class on Thursday evening as usual,

Dear Aikidoka and Sensei

Point Reyes Seidokan Aikido wants to welcome you to the 2017 Seidokan Aikido Camp in the Bay Area Friday June 9 through Sunday June 11, 2017.  The Camp is to be held at the Dominican University of California in San Rafael, Marin County, California.  The location is:           Dominican University of California

                                                            50 Acacia Ave. 

                                                            San Rafael, CA 94901.

This location is about an hour north of SFO on US101.  It is a little more than an hour from Oakland International.  Both of these drives are not wonderful on Friday afternoon.  The recommended path to the University is to fly into SFO, take the Bart to the Ferry Building, and take the Ferry across the bay to Larkspur.  I or my assistants will pick you up at Larkspur and take you to the University.  There are other paths up this particular mountain, but this is the one I recommend. 

 

Accommodations are double occupancy rooms that are in suites of two rooms sharing a bathroom. A limited number of single accommodation rooms are available for an additional cost. We will be dining at the cafeteria which has a range of menus including vegetarian, gluten free etc.

 

Our tentative schedule is:

                        7- 9 pm Practice

                     8-9:30 Breakfast
